2026 Season: Volunteer & Concessions Policy

Dear Aztec Families,

To keep our registration fees among the lowest in the South Bay, the Aztecs rely on game-day revenue (concessions and merchandise) to cover costs that registration doesn't touch—specifically the rising expense of field rentals and stadium lights.

To ensure a successful 2026 season, we are implementing a Volunteer & Concessions Policy similar to other youth sports leagues in our region

The Requirement

Every family is asked to support the league through one volunteer shift (typically in concessions or gate) during the season.

The Concessions Buyout Option

We understand that many families have demanding schedules. If you are unable to volunteer your time, we offer a $50 Concessions Buyout fee.

  • These funds go directly toward staffing and operational gaps created by the high cost of field rentals.

  • Please note: This buyout covers League-level volunteer duties only and is separate from individual team fundraising and chain gang volunteers.

Why This Matters
Currently, the Sweetwater Union High School District charges nearly $4,000 for 12 hours of turf use on a Saturday. Without your volunteer hours or the buyout supplement, we would be forced to raise registration by over $150 per athlete.

Take Action

We are fighting to keep youth football affordable. We encourage you to contact the district and ask why tax-payer-funded fields are priced so high for local non-profits:

Thank you for helping us keep the Aztecs on the field for the next generation!
